James Zeleznik in Las Vegas, Baby!

Read all about the trip James Zeleznik took to Las Vegas, Nevada in April 2016.

Recently I travelled with some friends to Las Vegas, Nevada. Now, this was not my first time; I have been there many times and have always experienced something new.

Las Vegas is located in the Mojave Desert. It is a city famed for its twenty-four-hour casinos and endless entertainment options.

The hotels that line the strip have elaborate themes, from dancing fountains at the Bellagio, to the Grand Canal at the Venetian, to erupting volcanoes at the Mirage.

There is the Paris Hotel where out front one finds a scale model of the Eiffel Tower; you can pay to go to the top and get a picture taken, and have a bird’s eye view of The Strip.

Caesar’s Palace is a favorite for some visitors; it’s a massive complex in the middle of The Strip, complete with every imaginable entertainment option. The hotel holds concerts in its venue, the Colosseum. Top performers (including Celine Dion, Elton John and Shania Twain), have performed here for extended periods of time and often sold tickets way in advance.

Most visitors enjoy walking The Strip and taking in the sights. If you plan to travel to Las Vegas, be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you could be walking all day.

Beside the hustle and bustle of The Strip there are other things to do as well. For instance, you can book a helicopter ride and go see the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, Red Tock Canyon. There is some amazing red rock scenery.

My wife and I in a past trip took a dune buggy ride in the desert, which was a lot of fun.

We have also tried indoor skydiving, which once the fan is turned on in the facility lets you float effortlessly in the air; no experience is necessary.

These are just some examples that I have experienced, there are many more to do…till next time!
